EU Chaillot Prize for Human Rights

The Universal Declaration of Human Rights was presented to the United Nations General Assembly at the Palais de Chaillot in Paris and was adopted on the 10 of December 1948. Many individuals, private organizations and public institutions worldwide, have committed themselves over the past six decades to the promotion of Human Right. However, much remains to be done.

To highlight positive developments in the area of Human Rights promotion in the GCC region, the Regional European Commission Delegation in Riyadh announces the Chaillot Prize. The prize, organized in close cooperation with Member States Embassies, will reward activities, campaigns and actions which favour progress in the field of Human Rights promotion and Human Rights awareness in the Gulf countries.
